Greater Noida, December 24, 2008: The Pro-Am event of the BILT Open 2008, played at the Jaypee Greens Golf Resort, Greater Noida, provided amateur golfers from the National Capital Region an opportunity to play alongside some of the top professional golfers in the country. The Pro-Am was played in the team scramble format where the team's best ball was chosen on every shot including the putting green. After the best ball was chosen all other players were to place their ball within one score card length before continuing play. This rule was applicable on the putting green as well. A minimum of three drives of every player were taken into account for the team prize.
PGTI member Ashok Kumar led his team to victory with a score of 52.2. Ashok's team comprised of amateurs Mr. Amit Luthra, Mr. Mukhmeet Bhatia and Mr. Umesh Dubey.
The runners-up prize went to PGTI member Rahil Gangjee's team. Gangjee's team comprised of amateurs Ms. Neelam Vederah, Mr. Gurdeep Singh and Mr. Kanwar Palta and totaled 54.2.
PGTI member and 2008 Asian Tour Order of Merit winner Jeev Milkha Singh's team comprising of Mr. R R Vederah, Mr. Romesh Sobti and Mr. Nalin Chandok finished second runners-up. Their team total was 55.6.
